Scott's first "Stereomaster" Integrated Amp.  The 299 featured "Christmas Tree" tri-function neon indicators, unique to 299-series.  The 299 was selected for display at world expositions like the Moscow fair.

The proven 40 watt stereo amplifier will drive even the most inefficient speaker systems because its special subsonic filter directs all power into the audible music range and its output stage is of extremely conservative design. The 399 was Scott's first receiver to incorporate a complete amplifier.
